We have recently upgraded to BT Infinity from a 'normal' BT broadband service and now the VSS has stopped working, the power light stays solid for a minute or two and then starts flashing slowly. No other light show apart from when they cycle every now and then.
We have a BT Business Hub 3 and after searching around and reading many, many posts I have enabled port clamping (to set the key exchange to UDP 500) and added the following rules for port forwarding:
TCP 8
TCP 50
UDP 500
UDP 4500
UDP 123
I tried setting the MTU to 1500 however it was already set at the maximum value of 1492. I've done a hard reset and waited well over 24 hours.
What else do I have to do? I read lots of people talking about 'resyncing' however I can't find this option when I login, is this something that has to be done by Vodaphone?

Just going to jump in here with an alternative modem.
Since moving to BT inifinity I've had a number of network related issues including connectivity issues with the VSS. Yes it would work for a while, and then it would just stop and refuse to connect.
I've already been through 3 home hubs (both HH2 and HH3). Scouring the internet forums it seems that the BT HH are actually giving a 'noisy line' (not that you will physically here it).
So I've decided enough is enough and have pulled out my trusty old router from my ADSL2+ days.
it's a TP-Link TD-W8960N and is considerably cheaper than the other modem mentioned. Yes it requires quite a bit of configuration but now it's running I have a stable network and all my devices including the VSS v2 have now been fully operational for 3 weeks without any drops.
Cheers,
Nobby
PS - If you have powerline adapters (or equivalent) for your network, then that's another reason to move away from the HH and use an alternative modem. (but that's another discussion!)
