I've got a VSS2 which has worked perfectly in my cupboard alongside my router for years however i'm looking to make a few changes.
I've recently floored out my loft and was interested in the possiblity of moving all my network gear up there out of the way.
Couple points I would like some clarification on:
1 - Would this work?
2 - What direction does the internal antenna transmit the signal to the house? I currently have the option of mounting it in any orientation so want to make sure that if it needs to go upside down (just an example) I put the appropriate structure in to support it.
3 - What effect (if any) does mineral wool insulation have on the transmission of the signal? I've currently got just over the recommened 270mm + 18mm chipboard flooring. The signal does currently reach the loft space (albeit 4 bar indicated instead of 5) so I think it should be ok but worth checking
Solved! Go to best answer.

1 – This should work.
2 – The Sure Signal emits signal upwards and outwards, so if you’re planning on putting it in the loft, it’ll actually be best to try and point the Sure Signal upside down.
3 – I’ve not actually seen anyone else who’s tried this, but if you can get signal up there now, you should be good, if you reverse the setup.

Thanks for the info @Retired-Wayne
I'm going to be running the cabling up there this weekend so fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.
Cheers!
