Version 3 Sure Signal Troubleshooting - Managing your VSS

This thread has been created to discuss, and troubleshoot general "My Account" issues that customers may experience when attempting to Register or Manage their Sure Signal online.

To Register and Manage a Sure Signal, you must have created a "My Account" login, by going here and clicking Register.

The registration process will send a security SMS to your phone, containing a code that you must then enter into the website to complete registration. This SMS times out after 20 minutes.

Since we are aware that if you own a Sure Signal, you're unlikely to have any coverage, we are working on increasing this time-out period to make registration easier for you - however, for now we recommend that if you have no coverage, you register for My Account on a computer where there is coverage - for example, at a Public Library, your workplace, or a friends house.

Business Customers


If you are a business customer, you will be unable to register your Sure Signal via My Account. You must visit Sure Signal for Business and fill out our registration form there. Your Sure Signal will then be registered with your Company Name as the owner, and your mobile number as the Admin, so that you can make changes. This registration process should take no longer than 24 hours.

Once registered, you will then be able to login to My Account and add/remove users from your Sure Signal as normal.

Consumer Customers


For everyone else, simply login to My Account, click on the My Sure Signal tab, and press "Register Sure Signal". Fill out the form, and once complete, we will start processing your registration. You will receive a text message or email to confirm when your Sure Signal is fully registered and ready to use.

Please be aware that issues can arise if the number registered as the Owner of the Sure Signal differs from the main number registered with the My Account profile.

Check for Planned Maintenance


Check the forum for any planned maintenance, if there is any then we'll announce it in a thread at the top of the Sure Signal forum. Sometimes our Planned Maintenance includes changes to the Registration system, during which time registrations or changes to users may be delayed or unavailable. Wait for the maintenance window to end, and then re-try.

Pending Active

If your Sure Signal is showing as "Pending Active" in your My Account Dashboard then please let us know by posting in this thread. If it shows as "Pending Active" but you're not able to pick up any 3G signal from it then please see our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread.


All other issues.
If you encounter any errors when trying to either fill out the registration form, or add and remove users, please post details of the error message below - including the exact step-by-step instructions for re-creating the issue, your Operating System, and your browser make and version number.

I am a PAYG customer, and want to register my phone to our business sure signal.

How do I do this??

 

Hi Chrisgellison, 

 

You would need to have the owner of the Sure Signal log into My Vodafone to add your number. 

 

It's only the initial setup for Business that is different, everything else is the same and controlled through My Vodafone.
