The suresignal has a static IP on my local network and that IP is configured on the router to allow all incoming traffic to it. All outgoing traffic is unfiltered and unblocked.

Any help to get this resolved would be greatly received as this has now been down for around a week.
Thanks

I've had my sure signal (version 3) since April this year. It has gone through phases of working, and not working. It is currently offline, and has been out since some time last week - at least since Friday.
The light sequence is power solid - Internet very slow flashing indicating that it is connecting, but it doesn't connect - despite a few re-boots & resets, and e.g. leaving it overnight to ensure it has enough time to connect.

The reliability of this is such that I'm wondering if the device should be renamed ?!
I guess the first step is a re-synch from your side again, so please let me know when that is done.

Hi guys,
Nealra - A "location change" isn't a change in the details registered, it's either a physical change (the box was moved) or a virtual change (e.g. the IP address changed).
I've done a fresh resync as that helped before, so give the box another reset.
If it fails now or goes down again, can you reconfirm the IP address and run a fresh traceroute for me so we can see if there has been a significant change?
Also, when it stops working, check the following:
- The Ethernet lights on the Sure Signal - are they lit, flashing or off?
- Does moving the Ethernet cable to a different socket on the router help?
- Does changing the cable help?
============================
surreyred - Everything there still looks OK. Can you reconfirm your IP address so we can check this hasn't change at all?
I've done a fresh resync, so please refresh the box to pick that up.
It may also help to reset the router and Sure Signal together:
- Switch of the router
- Switch of the Sure Signal.
- Restart the router.
- Allow the router to reboot completely.
- Switch on the Sure Signal once the router has fully restarted.
Let us know if this helps.
Dave

Thanks Dave - I'm back online now, yes the IP hasn't changed.
I had restarted the router before your post, so I'm guessing it's the re-synch that has done the trick.
