Hi frugg,

I've just checked your original post I could see that you were having issues with Windows 7 not finding the device. Has this part now been resolved? :P

If you're having poor signal speeds, there could be a few things to try:

  • Have you tried using the extension cable that came provided? Some computers suffer from poor shielding for GPRS (general packet radio subscription) and UMTS (universal mobile telephone service) signals which can affect signal speeds also can create that irritating beeping that comes through your speakers
  • DNS (Domain Name Server) caching might be causing this, click on Start > all programs > accessories > Right mouse click on Command prompt > select Run as administrator. A black box should appear with a flashing cursor. Type this in with out the quotations "ipconfig /flushdns" This should flush the DNS cache. Make sure you’re disconnected when you try this. To exit the Dos screen type exit and hit enter.
  • Is the colour of your connection light green or blue? This could be why you’re having poor connection speeds as GPRS transmits at 56kps vs. 3G (UMTS) which transmits and 300kps. Have you tried your Mobile Broadband in different areas? I tried to check your profile location however you're location presence is blank. Could you reply with your post code so we can check this for you?
Cheers
