Why do you have staff that say things are available when they are not?
It’s very frustrating at how slow Vodafone are at getting reliability features going (even if they are half hearted efforts (WiFi Calling does not support SMS)).
So when is 4GCalling coming to iOS devices?
and why does WiFi calling not support SMS?

Just to add:
Most features only work if you bought the phone from the network directly as it will have the VoLTE settings pre-installed or whatever. If you buy an XZ from another network or just a generic version VoLTE may not work.

I think this support only for specific devices is a huge mistake. How many different types of phone are there out there? 100's.
You couldn't "sell" a network that only supported specific devices for voice calls or sendng texts or internet browsing. That would be ridiculous and (rightly) customers would not buy it. Yet Vodafone deem it acceptable to only offer 4G calling and WiFi calling on a very limited range of handsets?
People expect to be able to take out a contract and use the standard features of their modern phones. Volte and WiFi calling are standard features of modern phones.
I have a Google Pixel and to find I will never be able to use either of these standard features on Vodafone, is very disappointing, to say the least.
Suffice to say, I will be off to EE in a few months. I hope Vodafone take this on board. These features should be offered by Vodafone as standard on all devices that offer them. I.e. all modern phones.

Thanks for your feedback @Chippy_boy.
As @Alex has mentioned previously on this thread, we'll be making VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling available on more devices in the future so more people can enjoy their benefits.
Any updates on this will be added to our website and blog.
I'm sorry to hear that you're thinking of leaving us, however please be assured that we're continuing to work on expanding our list of compatible devices for customers.

Any chance the Mods on here could post a list of places where VOLTE is enabled if you have the correct handsets ?
The initial list was months ago and was just London,Birmingham,Manchester and Bristol. That list must be very out of date now as I have used it all over Leicestershire,Nottinghamshire,Yorkshire and more

Thanks Natasha, To be honest with my work i travel around quite a bit and it has actually surprised me a lot how much of the Vodafone 4G coverage is VOLTE enabled and as the website stands at the moment you are very much underselling it as its available so widely.
I have used it so far in and around
Leicester(Pretty much everywhere)
Northampton( Everywhere)
Birmingham ( Everywhere)
London (Everywhere)
Manchester
Liverpool
Bristol
Nottingham
Peterborough
Bournemouth
I am sure there are a lot more places and i look forward to seeing a full list soon.

It is ridiculous that phones which are not purchased through Vodafone will not get 4G calling. This is poor customer service and as usual nothing is clear until someone started raising the issue here.
I will be leaving Vodafone again next year to move to a provider which will support VoLTE and VoWifi.

Natasha- Do you have any update when the team are going to update the site with more supported devices and also a full list where you can use the service ?
As a side note not sure if there is currently some problems with VOLTE as both myself with S8 and colleague with XZ Premium have for the last few days been having a problem where during a 4G call the call will drop even though you at static and have full 4G signal. This happens anything from 1 minute into the call upto 15 mins last night
This has happened to me in a few different places now like Leicester,Birmingham and Manchester all at different times of the day. If you call back the call connects fine and can continue the conversation

@Uno28 We’ve fed this back to the product manager and we’ve been advised that the page will be updated.
They’ve not given us a time scale although thanks for flagging this too us.
So we can check for issues in the areas you’ve mentioned, if it happens again please let us know the full postcode and the date and time of the calls.
Once we have this, we’ll be able to look into this further.
