After 10 trouble free years with plus net I reluctantly signed up for Vodafone broadband lured by promises of saving 20 quid per month. My new router was delivered on 8 September and connection was scheduled for 14 September. No connection happened and after numerous 30 minute phone calls with Vodafone customer service I've been told there's a problem with the BT engineers who are unfortunately involved in the connection process.
Has anyone here connected recently and experienced problems or delays like this?
I' m left without any broadband since the 14th and no estimate yet for connection.
I feel like cancelling the whole thing and try sky or virgin.
I live in the Greater Belfast area.
Thanks

Finally a successful result.
After an hour and a half on phone with customer service on Wednesday evening with the matter still not resolved I tried again on Friday 23Rd and got throught to Broadband team and spoke to Stephanie. She very quickly checked what state of play was with my order and came back to tell me much to my suprise that it should be connected OK!
So, she patiently held on while I got everything out of the box and plugged in micro filter, router etc. She talked me through the entire process and was absolutely awesome at guiding me along. I had to leave to collect daughter and at that stage it was still configuring. She explained that if it wasn't totally connected by time I was due home at 10pm she'd check it today.
I came home at 10 and was pleasantly suprised to see a perfectly (so far) functioning router and broadband.
Big thanks to the patience and courtesy shown by at least 3 Scottish advisers and 1 northern Irish girl who all helped me and were absolute stars.
I suspect my last conversation with Adele on 21st and her discussion with Broadband team may have been the catalyst which got the result.
Happy days!!
