Vodafone 875 error

In the past two weeks, my Vodafone 875 mobile has begun to dsplay an icon at the top left of screen; I believe it is a "i" in a circle.

Since this icon appeared, the phone doesn't display any other icons, so if for instance I receive a text ro miss a call, there is no notification.

I've looked in the manual for the phone, but can't see what causes the error or how to clear it, so does anyone know?

Hi

I updated the software but the "i" in a circle icon was still there and the notification still did not work. I took the phone in to a vadafone shop but they could not sort it out either.

I decided to have one more attempt to fix it before buying a new phone. I swiped down from the top of the screen and the "i" in a circle icon was there along with several others, when i tapped it it changed to the message icon and now everything is working fine.
