For the last few weeks our Vodafone home router has been having frequent connectivity issues.
The issues only affect wireless devices and the ethernet connected PC has had no issues.
Basically, the connection randomly 'hangs', e.g. youtube thinks it's offline or skype drops or web pages stop loading.
Resetting the router temporarily solved the issue but it soon returned.
Normally it has max 4 devices connected (1 ethernet PC, 2 mobiles, 1-2 laptops) and none of these devices are using a lot of bandwidth other than the odd bit of netflix or iplayer.
Any ideas on hat could be causing the issues?
Regards,
Laurence

Hi
I do not use the Vodafone router but instead use the home Hub 5 from bt.
When I was having similar issues I first forgot the network in the devices settings.
Then if no joy I changed wireless channel in the router.
And finally I split the frequencies in the router into 2.4ghz and 5gzh and chose to hook up to the 2.4gzh which helped.

Thanks, will give it a try. Though it has been across several devices.
Do you know how you split the frequency (generally and specifically on the Vodaphone router)
