Joined Vodafone Broadband a couple of onths ago, been driving me nuts that none of my Wifi devices can connect to any wired devices, never had any issues like this before with any other router so I gave up and had an online chat with Customer Support and heres the reply
Thomas: Unfortunately this is not something our routers currently support. I think it is something we are looking into but as far as I am aware it is not possible at the moment
tony: any idea when this will be fixed
Thomas: I have no exact time scale on this but I can see a lot of customers are wanting to do this so I can't imagine it will that long. I am sorry that is rather vague
tony: Wanting to do this.......this is a basic feature - any work around like can I use another router

Idealy don't want to spend any more than I need to and would just like this Vodafone router to do something that is a basic requirment.
Is there a reason why wireless devices cannot access wired devices
Will Vodafone address this issue in later firmware releases

Just gone back to Vodafone and ask for username / password -
Im sorry about that. Our specialist has advised incorrectly. We no longer provide the credentials for other router's

From what ChazzD says in post #8 above, it's a case of trying a few times, until you get an advisor who has access to the information. A bit surreal, but....

Ask to make a complaint about the management decision not to provide details. Along with the internal routing flaw in the router, the management decision is preventing normal use of the service.
I did this and was transferred to top level complaints and was provided with my details.
Don't stand for the carp you will hear about "You cannot complain about management'.

Hi All,
I've just started having this issue and it is NOT a black/white one. With Tech Support re did a factory reset, re-configured the WiFi and assigned static IPs to my home servers and I was able to SSH into them from my mobile device. Few hours later, it stopped working.
I may consider asking for my details to use my own router, but at the moment, I've not got an AC router and I'm holding out for Google's Mesh Router, so maybe then. For now, I'll keep talking to support with this as a fault.

I have also found this is not black and white. Windows 10 laptop on Wifi can see other (and older) operating systems across the WIFI and Wired networks. But Windows 7 laptop connected on WiFi cannot see any wired devices.
More frustrating is that Android devices cannot see wired devices so my wired home entertainment system, and other devices, cannot now be controlled through WiFi. This would also apply if you use a WiFi printer but have wired PCs....they now would no longer work.
This is basic functionality that Vodafone are obliged to support. It's the same VLAN...but just over different media.
More advice needed please from Vodafone Tech Support.
