Vodafone Credit Decline - based on address possibly?

I have had a terrible experience with credit referrals today. They have refused my application for a personal Vodafone account for no reason whatsoever - I have great credit, a mortgage, a corporate account with Vodafone, never been declined ever, no late payments and yet still been declined.

The worst thing is I gave my application number 7029173243 to an advisor that called through to the credit referrals team and the only response they had is apply again in 90 days. The only thing that comes to mind is the address as my address is rented accommodation.

Occassionally applications need to be reconsidered/reviewed, Vodafone are not always right, especially if they are from people with genuine concerns. I was due to signup to a 24 month contract to spend £47/month on line rental alone - they have lost a high value customer - Not only this but I will cancel my corporate contract with them at point of renewal in 16 months (where I spend £500-600/month via Olive Communications) as they do not deserve my business. If you do not reach out to me soon not only will you lose a new personal customer but you will also lose an existing business customer very soon too.

I hope someone can respond to this ASAP.

Hi @ammar1

I totally appreciate how you would be disappointed with not being accepted after a Credit Check.

The 90 days waiting period is a generic piece of good advice which lets your Credit Score recover.

Sometimes applying for things too close together can look like a person is overstretching themselves.

Unfortunately even with with a high / good credit score this does not always guarantee to be accepted.

Other things such as not being at an address for long or the wring address is showing can hinder. Not being on the electoral register.

Vodafone would use the results of a Credit Check plus their own points system when making a decision.

To add I think it's always checking with http://www.experian.co.uk that all the information is correct on a Credit File.
