Vodafone E172 Modem - Will It Work With A Vodafone Greece SIM Card?

Hi,

I had Vodafone mobile internet broadband contract for 2 years and after it finished I opted for PAYG mobile internet. I managed to make my Vodafone modem (from contract) to work with Vodafone PAYG sim (however it required changing APN in Vofafone application settings).

I go on holiday for over two weeks to Greece. I will have to do some work over there and I need internet. I'm not able to afford to use Vodafone UK which would cost me a fortune, so I decided I'll buy Vofadone Greece PAYG:

The question is:

- will my Vodafone UK modem (model: E172) work with Vodafone Greece sim (connection pack)
- or I would need to buy Vodafone Greece sim + their modem (which I would like naturally to avoid. I already paid Vodafone UK for that)

Hi Richard ,

Some of our modems are network-locked, so firstly I'd recommend contacting customer services on 191 and having them check the IMEI number to make sure you don't need it to be unlocked first

After that, the modem should work fine on a Vodafone Greece SIM card, but you'll need to change the APN settings again to match those that Vodafone Greece use. You'll need to contact them directly to find out what those settings are.
