Hi, 

 

I'm trying to apply my VEA discount code to the £25 sim only 12 month deal however it is not applying in the basket.

 

It is not saying it is being declined however it is also not applying a discount, it is literally doing nothing.

 

i have attempted to get a new code however it states that I have already applied for a code with my work email address.

 

i have also contacted customer services who as usual were no use and the same for live chat. 

 

The VEA code I have was applied for in feb 2016 so don't know if I need a new code or what but no one seems to know what's going on.

 

Its kind of crazy that there also isn't a team you can speak to regarding vea issues on the phone.

 

Any ideas???

Hi @AnnS would the OP still qualify as vea has to be applied within 30 days of taking out the contract?

There has been varied opinion on if Vea can be applied to a discounted tariff and I'm sure there was a recent thread this was discussed in. 

 

I would suggest @Burttt calls 191 for some official clarification.

Hi @63johnw   We know the VA to to be reapplied to each and every upgrade during the first 30 days.

 

I read that this was a new SIM only already discounted tariff which is not eligible for VA.

I have a discounted tariff and I could not get the VEA appkied to it for that very reason. The principle that there can only be one discount applied to any tariff seems to be the overriding principle.

Customer services via 191 and live chat have both stated that VEA can be applied to this sim only deal.

The issue is not just with this deal, any sim only and my VEA discount code is not working...

Apparently it's not 'discounted' it's just a set price of £25.00.
