Vodafone repair service

My Vodafone Smart 7 has failed after just 2 months, the battery section has curved away from the screen. It's gone back for repair and they've come back saying it's customer damage. I've asked them to explain how I could bend the battery section without cracking the screen, needless toi say there's no comment. The guys in the shop said it's probably because the battery over heated whilst being charged, they didn't expect it to come back not repaired.

Ineed an engineers report but I'm being told they don't supply one which sounds like a cop out.

What should I do next?

Hi

I've seen other posts where they've also been told an engineers report isn't supplied. Imo I'd they are refusing a repair under manufacturer warranty then they should supply one to back up their stance and decision.

If the phone is supplied by Vodafone then it's them that a person should approach for assistance under the 24 month manufacturer warranty.

However sometimes the manufacturer of the phone will help and assist. You'd need to check with yours to see if a company called ZTE made that model for Vodafone.

You could look at UK law to see if any of it is relavant to your case.

Also you could pay for an independent engineers report but it really depends on how much time and money you wish to invest in this.

Vodafone have a code of practice that you can use.
