I switched to Vodafones 76MB fibre deal a few weeks back and despite them selling it as they put 2 pipes into the exchange so my connection should be faster i was not expecting any increase in speed, but i was not expecting any decrease either. The box is less than 50 metres away and when i originally had fibre installed the engineer said the speed was even higher on his equipment but capped to 76MB by my ISP. Speed tests done in the early hours always showed 73MB and close to 20MB up. With Vodafone though the speeds are around 64MB and 15MB up I am also getting a load or corrupt files which i have never had before. I have the wallmounted faceplate with filter built in. The router is connected directly to that with the short cable and My PC is 4 feet away from that connected with a cable also. Only the phones connect using wireless. So less than 9 feet from the box to the the PC and no extensions to the phone either. Anything i can do my end to see where the trouble is? Thanks.
