Vodafone PAYG Broadband Dongle with NO time limit

CupraR
4: Newbie

Hello.

Approximately two years ago I purchased a Vodafone Dongle to be able to go onto the internet via my Laptop on the few occasions I am away from my Home Router.

It was purchased from Argos and for £15 I got 3GB of Data, which didn't run out except for a time limit of 270days.

I have now gone to top it up and I see a message I'll only get 1GB for £15???

What's going on, have I read the wrong thing?? Certainly hope so, I have had no literature from Vodafone with regards this.

Please put me out of my misery!!!

Cheers Dave.

Still in the same boat though and unsure exactly what I will and what I won't and how long or how little a top up will now last. Guess I'll have to try it and find out.

Still can't get Content Control removed though, whenever I try via the website an error repeatedly comes up.

Thanks again

@Andy

the new packs aren't suitable for me. looking through the forum it seems an SMS was sent out informing of the changes to the original t&c's of this dongle and the 'unlimited' time we could use the data. it's also noted on the forum that a lot of users, including myself, never recieved that message, and we are only finding out now as we go to use the dongle.

i'm £14.23 in credit, of which i, can't use, unless i exchange for 30 day data packs.

i would prefer my £14.23 credit refunded.

Hi jimmiley,

You can arrange to unlock the device here.

Hi tinribz,

We're not able to to issue a refund.

Thanks

Ian

Can you just confirm?  This page is asking me to pay £19.99 to unlock my dongle - despite the fact I am still £9.27 in credit and Vodafone changing the term and conditions of my PAYG dongle??

Hi jimmiley,

All Pay as you go devices - phones or dongles - cost £19.99 to unlock.

Dave

Thanks for this - will stick it in the bin......

@ Ian C

I have posted this on several other topics where Vodafone Tech Team staff persist in this erroneous statement:

I have now had a full refund of the £14.36 left on my account. Why don't you just go ahead and refund everyone else in the same position?

For the affected few on this topic complaining about their useless dongles, may I suggest that you go through the index and read the numerous other topics on this subject.

It's easy to unlock the dongle for free, just Google it.
