Hi spicy888, welcome to the eForum!
The problem with using multiple providers is that they all have different settings in place, which leads to conflicts - hence the recommendation about removing ours to allow theirs to work.
Can you confirm for me that you've uninstalled all traces of both connection softwares from the computer for me to start with. If you use the add/remove programs option in the control panel, you can see all the installed software, and you want to remove all connections to VMC and anything referring to the other software which may have been missed. Then remove all shortcuts from the desktop and start menu to "tidy up".
Once you've done that, restart the computer for me, then make sure no programs are running which might get in the way. From the beginning, can you walk me through exactly what happens when you plug the dongle into the computer.
- Does it start to install the software automatically, or do you need to go to "my computer " to trigger it?
- Are you prevented with any options during installation?
- Does the desktop shortcut get recreated, or were you clicking on one for the uninstalled version before?
- Do you get any specific error codes?
Finally, can you confirm which dongle you're using, as well as the full Windows version on the computer.
I'm confident we can get this sorted for you with just a little more information.
