Hi,
We have a Vodafone Router Connect. Recently, some devices have become disconnected and canot be reconnected becuase the router is not coming up in the wifi settings. Its quite unusual actvity - some of the devices then reconnect randomly and work again. Can anyone shed some light on this? Its quite frustrating. We've tried turning the router on and off, and even though the green lights successfully light up each time, we are still having problems.
Thanks
Kelly

As Paul said, before calling Vodafone it's very important to :-
If there's still no joy then you need to call Vodafone directly and try to get through to someone who can help. Be prepared to go through lots of baby steps before anyone will help you with your actual problem.
Good luck.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
Last night we ensured the firmware was updated on the router and it was.
We disabled the uPNP and have tried seperaring the frequencues - still no luck
Going on PaulCormack's post, we have connected up an old router with an ethernet cable. On loading up the connected router's router page, it prompts me for a broadband username and password. We contacted vodafone for this but they said its in their company policy and terms/conditions that they cant give this out. Is there a way around this? Feel like we're so close! Dont want to have to purchase a new vodafone router if theyre repped to be rubbish, as so far have proved to been.

KellyM it depends on what type of 'router' you have connected up there. My setup I still use the vodafone connect router/modem as a modem. Cause they will not give username and password to anybody
Then I have an ASUS router which I connect the wan port to the vodafone connect router then I configure WiFi etc since everything was disabled now on the vodafone router.
Depending on the router you have and if it has a wan port or not would determine if you would be able to do this. Essentially if what you have is a Modem/Router then you are going to need someway to tell the router you have that it is not to use the modem and instead it has to use the wan port (if it has a wan port) to connect to a seperate modem (the vodaofne box in this case)
All in all if even you can turn your own router into an Access Point only mode and disable the vodafone connect Wireless and plug the now Access Point into your Vodafone box then you wuld have a better WiFi to use ?
So really it all depends on the kit you have and what it is capable of.
