Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 Charging Leads

Bought an Ultra 6 last year and another a couple of months back and have just discovered that the old lead doesn't fit the new phone and vica versa. I thought that these leads were universal! Was I wrong?

From my understanding it's not a wireless stand.

With a wireless one you simply place the phone onto it and they pair and the phone charges. That's the only physical connection. 

The one you highlight has the phone docked onto it so it charges. 

(Phone is pushed onto a fitting)

I have a SU6 and the charging lead is the same as all my other tech, a micro usb.

Hi and thank you for your input. We have 2 SU6 phones and although the. usbs appear to be the same externally  the actual sockets on the usb heads not only differ in size but also in the number and configuration of the contacts. The year old phone has 4 copper contacts and the new phone 5. I will try to post an image of both side by side.

That is a strange one indeed, I thought all micro usb chargers were being standardised so we don't need loads of chargers
