Hi There,

I have a Vodafone Sure Signal v2 that seems to be stuck with a steady power light and flashing system light. The light has been flashing for over 2 hours and will not stop. The phone light is off. Could you please advise if I have a faulty device?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi maccas99,

It looks like the IP range that you are using is not on the whitelist.

I have requested for this to be added today which will normally take 72 hours to be updated.

James

@ James - thanks for the prompt reply. I've spoken to my ISP and they state that there have been no IP changes in the past couple of months. Maybe it didn't get the new IP until the system was restarted on Monday (new cleaner unplugged the router/phone/SS2 to plug in the vacuum!).

Do I do another reset once 72 hours has elapsed (i.e. Monday evening/Tuesday Morning)?

Here is the 2nd trace route

Hi maccas90,

You shouldn’t need to do a reset as it should just spring into life once the whitelist has been updated.

@ sparkiemike,  the second traceroute looks a lot better.

If this is still happening, can you try a different Ethernet cable to see if this sorts the issue out for you?

James

@ James - Can you let me know if the white list has been updated please? My VSS2 is still not connecting.

Thanks

Hey maccas99,

Thanks for the question.

Your IP is now on the whitelist so please reset your VSS and you should be good to go.

Thanks,

LeeH

Thanks Lee, I've performed a reset but it's still not working.

Even though UPnP should work (as it has been all along) I've added in all the ports to be forwarded to the address specified here (http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/New-Sure-Signal-Steady-Power-Light-Only/td-p/679...) and I am getting some hits in the firewall log so I can see it is trying to connect:

Please assist ASAP please.

Hi maccas99

Thanks for coming back to us.

I've take another look at it’s still not connecting to our servers. Is it possible for you to try a different ethernet cable?

Sukhi

Hi, Thanks for the update, I'll change the ethernet cable when I get home.

Thanks

Cormac

Hi, the cable has been changed but has made no difference.

Please advise on next steps?

Thanks

Cormac
