Hello.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 which also comes with the Vodafone Updates built in.
However, almost 2-3 times every day when using a certain app, I get an error message that says 'Unfortunately Vodafone Updates has stopped'.
Do you know if there is a fix for this as the last thing I want to do is uninstall the Updates app.
Many thanks,
Christopher

Thanks for the update.
I would prefer to avoid doing the Factory Reset as it's such a pain.
However, I will list the apps that I have downloaded on my Galaxy S4 and see who else has similar to myself and we may in the end find out which one is causing the problem.
8 Ball Pool
Barclays Banking
eBay
InstaFollow
My Vodafone
Sky+
Sonic 1
SwiftKey
Tagstagram Pro
Xbox SmartGlass
I hope this helps.

Chris
Ok cheers for the List
8 Ball Pool (Which app on this but should be ok) where was this purchased from ?
Barclays Banking (OK!!)
eBay (Not the best app it is buggy the web based version is much better and does not run in the back ground)
Facebook (This is a pain and my thoughts are differant then most but its the most introsive app ever and causes heaps of issues ) DO NOT PUT FACEBOOK HOME ON YOUR PHONE
Instagram (This was ok until Facebook took hold )
InstaFollow (See above this is a Live app that works in the background and is a third part app to instagram they don't support this ) Avoid !!!!
My Vodafone (This is the only app worth having from Vodafone) Ok if your going to use this
Sky+ (Has had issues in the past with updates the app developers are behind)
Sonic 1 (OK)
SwiftKey (OK)
Tagstagram Pro (Another instagram Third party app not supported by them) make sure this does not run in the back ground
WhatsApp (This has not had the best of starts but should not cause issues)
Xbox SmartGlass (OK)
Now these are only your downloaded app the Vodafone ones are in the All Apps section
As for Facebook app before i get ooooo there is nothing wroung
Its up to you. But i have had phones in behaving bad, after removing face book all sorted
But if your a Facebook person then you will have issues
Try using Flipboard
Instagram is still ok at the moment but facebook will change this to make money from you
I used Instagram but was one of the many that left
The update app is in the All Apps Menu this needs dissabling

Hi guys,
Thanks for all your help and information so far.
I decided to go ahead and do the Factory Reset today as yesterday (26th) I got the error six times and the phone froze for a good ten seconds which was bugging me.
All is well so far so will keep you updated.
Amazon & eBay came preinstalled and the other apps I've downloaded as normal. 8 Ball Pool is a game by Miniclip.
Cheers again guys.
Regards,
Chris

Ok Her is a List of App to dissable
HelpLogin Security (Vodafone)
Updates (Vodafone)
Discover (Vodafone ignore warning )
Apps and Games (Vodafone)
and any Yahoo
The Discover is linked to the other apps dissabling this and the Updates stoped the Updates
Dissabling these does not harm the Phone or void any thing
More the opersite it improves Battery life as these run in the Back ground
Google is working on stopping this were Networks do not allow the removal of apps
for now all we can do is dissable or Debrand the phone

Can anyone help me with the following... It seems that my phone keeps trying to download a Vodafone update but keeps failing even when I'm on my home Wifi. Has anyone else had this problem or knows what to do with it? I've tried clearing it by pressing clear in the notification center but it just keeps coming back. I've done a screen grab so you can see what comes up. Any suggestions?
