Hi.
After checking my credit file in the summer last year for the first time ever. I found that there was a £38 default notice logged against my name from an old vodafone line I had several years back - This I did not know about as paid my bill before closeing the line back then.
Anyway, after months of trying to find the account details from vodafone, they managed to track down the accoount and to speed things up I paid the default balance in auguast 2016. I have just now checked my credit file again and it is still on there (says account closed in default with the amount still outstanding).
Finally how do I get this information changed correctly? It should read balance £0, closed and satisfied.
I have tried calling customer services by phone 7 times and no one can find my details of this old account anywhere. I asked twice to be put through to the deoartment who deals with closed or defaulted accounts but again they will not put you straight through. I have also sent letters to head office with no reply at all. Is there an agent on here who can pass this on and get someone to contact so as to rectify this problem?
Thank you
Dean Lemar

Hi
Even though the default will remain for 6 years it should show as Settled.
Ask Customer service to pass you through to the Credit File template.
Sub Note >
To Add if a person has spoken to a member of the Credit File Support Team and they have agreed to update the default ststus then this is usually actioned straightaway. The file will update when the database that Vodafone share with the credit file agencies update.
This normally takes up to 30 working days but can happen quicker.
Unfortunately there is no way to hasten the process up as Vodafone do not have control over the database that is accessed by the credit file agencies.

The forum is more monitored by Vodafone Teams so they mauve able to help too. They are a small team so please give them time to reach your thread.
