Vodafone mms/web settings out of date

I have just relieved a text from Vodafone saying that I have to install new settings for web/wap etc. When I go to the link provided it says that the certificate of Vodafone DC is out of date (ran out Jan 2015) and a warning shows. Why are Vodafone sending out settings whose certificates are out of date and are therefore a security risk?

This will relate to the website, not the settings.

 

You can add the settings manually, by following the information on our website.
