Vodafone website not accessable from my work place.

Hi,

Whenever I try to access the vodafone.co.uk website from my work place, I always get the maintenance page.

I have cleared my cache and deleted all cookies and tried three different browsers, but the result is the same.

 

All our PCs use a proxy server for Internet access, so I thought that maybe the page was cached on the Proxy server.  We have a network for guests so the they can access the Internet, and it bypasses the Proxy server.  Even using this network, the maintenance page was displayed.

 

As a last ditch attempt, I used a PC that was connected to a seperate ADSL line, and this worked perfectly.  Also, i noticed that the URL http://support.vodafone.co.uk works from all PCs, it's just the vodafone.co.uk that doesn't work.

 

A network trace was showing that the http request was receiving an http status 403 forbidden.

 

Is is possible that the IP address of where I work is being actively blocked by Vodafone?

@StuartMunday That's a strange one. 

 

It's very unlikely that your IP address has a restriction in place preventing you from accessing our website. 

 

However, If you'd like to let us know your IP and we'll check it out from our end.

Hi. I have the same problem, it went away a couple of weeks back but came back this week, I have also raised this problem on another thread before.

As Rahim indicatred, it's unlikely that your IP address has a restriction preventing you from accessing our website. 

 

If you can provide your IP, we'll be able to check it out from our end for you.
