Voicemail Not Working

Since I switched off my voicemail 3 months ago, I have been unable to switch it back on. I have spent two sessions with online advisors and one session where I called an advisor direct..  We have tried all sorts of things..

All the usual number commands, opting out and opting back in.. That last adviser I spoke to said he could not fix the issue and that he would escalate the issue and I would be contacted within 24 - 48 hours. Guess what.... no one contacted me..

I need my phone for business and I need to have voicmail working.. If I cannot get this issue resolved, I will have to leave vodafone ,since vodafone are not providing a full service to me.

Hi

Did they try cancelling all diverts?

. Cancel all diverts

  • Press Phone.
  • Press Keypad.
  • Key in ##002# and press the call icon.

2. Return to the home screen

  • Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

Then try and turn voice mail back on.

If you give 30 days notice to leave Vodafone or use a PAC code then if your not at the end if your contract they'll charge you the Early Termination Fee which is basically the amount of months left to run minus a 2% discount.

Have you tried to divert incoming calls to another number in the interim.

Current Phone  >

Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512gb.

For sure I have keyed in the ##002# command and hit the call icon.

A grey screen comes up stating that many Erasures were Succeeded. Like Voice Call Forwarding, Data Call Forwarding etc....

There is a large dismiss button to press, if I try to press the home button instead, nothing happens, so I have no option to hit the dismiss button or lock the phone.

Then when I go into my voice mail and try to put my diverts on, this is what the automated voice says.... Sorry we have been unable to set your divert settings at this time.

Surely if Vodafone are unable to provide voicemail then its breach of contract ??

Hi @MrDMB

Please see the link below for further help.

Support - Voicemail

If you have tried everything, you will need to persevere through the Customer Service channels.  Vodafone should be able to delete your voicemail and readd.  This should get the service working for you.

Indeed, they deleted and re added my voicemail and that did not fix the issue. I tried switching on and off, plus loads of commands with the tech person last time.

Hi @MrDMB

I have just had a look at your attachment, message 3, and I notice you have Vodafone HU which is Vodafone Hungary and not Vodafone UK at the top.

I was just wondering if there was a reason for this and if it is something to do with your voicemail not working.  If you are not on Vodafone UK at the moment, you would need to have set up a secuirty PIN to access your voicemail box and use the number +44 7836 121 121 followed by your security PIN.

Thanks for the concern. I travel a lot. Yes I'm in Hungary at the moment. But when they tried to fix the issues I was home in the UK. Yes I do have a pass code set up.

I have spoken to Vodafone again today. They confirm that the issue is escalated and they confirm someone is working on my issue.

The guy I spoke to re escalated the issue again ???

Time will tell. This has gone on long enough.

Hi @MrDMB

The reason I mentioned  Vodafone Hungary is until you are back in the UK, Vodafone won't be able to reset your voicemail when you are roaming on a overseas network.  Vodafone Hungary is separate from Vodafone UK.

I understand Vodafone tried to fix the issues when you were in the UK.

I wouldn't be surprised if your voicemail has simply been locked and all that is needed is for your PIN to be reset.

I am sure Vodafone will get your voicemail reset and working as it should be when you are return to the UK.

Well. I've been with Vodafone for 20 years. What with their billing fiasco and now this, I'm at my limit. The trouble is, even after handwriting a letter to them, you don't get issues fixed. They take their consumer customers for granted.

Did you manage to get this working again? One user in the company I work for is having the same issue and nobody in Vodafone has a clue!
