What is the point in having live chat?

If it's never going to work or even be online?

The page states 24/7 live chat, yet it's always busy or offline.

Vodafone customer service is appaling enough as it is without being unable to contact them at all.

Live chat is primarily for use in the uk but has been known to connect while abroad.

It it also is best accessed via a computer.

Leaving the the chat window open while an agent becomes available.

A tip is to visit the Vodafone Online Shop and choose a high end Smartphone as this has been known to invoke Online Live Chat.

Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512gb.

I'm in the UK. I'm sat at a computer. The ip address is uk based.

I can't even get a chat window as there is no box to access live chat within the relevant page.

Accessing a high end smart phone within the shop doesn't work either.

There's a reason why vodafone were the worst telecoms company for customer service for the whole of last year.

I've literally just been on the phone right now. In the space of 10 minutes I've been lied to twice and had my call transferred twice to departments not related to my call.

And the direct number I was given to contact the customer relations team directly has been changed.

How does vodafone even begin to think these actions are acceptable.

Time to contact watchdog, the press and the ombudsman I think.

@Diggerg Try this link to Live Chat

I have just tried it and it took 31 seconds to connect.

@Diggerg

How are you trying to get a Live Chat connection?

I just tried it using the contact us link on the right of the thread.  It was busy at first, but only had to wait online with the window open for a couple of minutes and got a connection.  Give it another try, it does work.

I've also tried it (http://www.vodafone.co.uk/contact-us/index.htm).   Scroll down and you'll see the button.   It'll show as busy at first, but should change to "start chat" within a minute.
