When will Blackberry 10.3.1.2558 be pushed out by Vodafone?

As the header says, can anyone at Vodafone shed any light on when this critical update 10.3.1.2558 will be pushed out to replace the abismal corrupted 10.3.1.1565 which has affected thousands apon thousands of various BB models around the world.

for those that have received it so far they have confirmed it has fixed the

OpenSSL Factoring attack on RSA-EXPORT

and also the 50% lower ringtone even though still not as loud as before update and also fixed the non existent callender notifications.

BlackBerry has issued a new OS build of 10.3.1 with version 2558 for BlackBerry 10 devices.

The over-the-air update for BlackBerry OS 10.3.1.2558 has already hit regions such as Canada, India, Austria, the UK and South Africa. The update addresses the OpenSSL FREAK vulnerability, reports CrackBerry.

Recently, BlackBerry acknowledged this and issued a security notice for the 'FREAK' vulnerability. It has also produced a list of affected and non-affected software versions.

According to the security notice, OpenSSL Factoring attack on RSA-EXPORT keys is a vulnerability in BlackBerry products. The OpenSSL cryptographic software library is open source software used to secure client/server transactions. [/quote]

I assume 10.3.1.2708 is a leak?

I checked and have the latest official release .1779

Z10 STL 100-2

same. 1779 still.

loaded on Q10 and still no good.

passport auto update turned off and using pre loaded 10.3.0.908 which actually works.

are you still suffering from all the ringtone issues Rover.

went to vadafone shop on Friday and asked about how these issues can be fixed as Q10 is still under contract until november.

they said it could be sent off for repair which is no use as the phone isnt broken as a repair will not touch the operating system.

me thinking bye bye blackberry as this will certainly end your career as there are thousands of companys around the world chucking bb and getting i phones or samsung.

Yes but it is an official release on some of the Canadian carriers

as far as i know it is pushed out to all carriers at the same time.

its then down to the carrier to push it out so thats why all owners world wide are not getting it at the same time.

it took vodafone uk a week to push out 1779 when reports around the world had it the week before.

Thanks madasaman, I've run leaks in the past but I'm a bit reluctant unless it fixes some glaring problem; I don't have one so far.

MrDJ,

I don't have any ringtone issues; all seems to be well for me. My view is that you maybe best to run a leak as I agree they won't upgrade your software beyond the current official release. So a repair probably won't work. You've nothing to loose.

It will be a cold day in hell before I become an [Removed in line with House Rules].:smileytongue:

I am running a Passport on the latest official OS and the notification levels have been fixed for me.

Sorry it's not working for you - perhaps a reload? Did u happen to do a restore, as that sometimes causes issues.

Hope you get it sorted.

I just updated the OS and radio via sachesi very painless and all running fine. Didn't have any problems with the vodafone release but like to have the latest release

i will have to try some of the unofficial loading as i cant connect to computer.

8 months ago i had a major issue with a popup box asking for password.

no password was set so i tried a few but no joy.

vodafone connected for an hour remotely but couldnt help.

they transfered me to rim support and after 5 hours they still had no idea what to try. bb themselves reloaded link software and then said it was corrupted.

its been atempted to remove by voda and bb at least 8 times now and its still on computer and just wont delete. tried repair, safe mode and registry removal and its still there.

only a windows re install will get rid of it and no chance im doing that until i really have to.

i will just stick with my passport for now.

and im still waiting. no updates from vodafone even though blackberry have officially pushed 2 out since i first posted.

this is getting beyond a joke.

phone could be sent for repair under contract but its not broken and they wont touch the operating system.

im going for a security wipe as it cant get any worse as the phone is unusable.

hurry up samsung and officially put your name to this company instead of it being called BB it could be called MM (micky mouse)
