Why is Vodafone so bad at CS?

Even though Apple's approach to launch has never changed, why does Vodafone get it wrong every single launch of a new iPhone? They never learn from their astonishing mistakes. I have been with Vodafone through every iPhone they've offered and it is still EXACTLY the same experience:

Lies
Broken promises
Misinformation
Inaccurate stock reporting
Unexplained delays
Missing emails and texts

This will forever be a textbook case of how NOT to treat your customers. I have actually heard MBA lectures refer to Vodafone as a 'how not to do it' example.

The tariffs go up and the customer service goes backwards.

I have been with Vodafone for 2 years and i'm astonished how BAD their customer service is. I'm not a person who complains easily but Vodafone must have the worst CS of ever company I've dealt with. They will charge you for stuff you never subscribed to, you complain, they promise to fix it,  but then they never do. You talk to three different advisors and your're likely to get 3 different answers. The bottom line is, they will almost ever do what is in their interest, and not in yours.
