Bought my iphone6 2 years ago from carphone warehouse. Contract with Vodafone coming to an end and I'm now told Vodafone don't have my IMEI registered so they can't unlock my phone. I have been online and spoken to the NUC team and the complaints team and keep being told there is nothing Vodafone can do because it's carphone warehouse at fault. Carphone warehouse tell me it's Vodafone and so the cycle continues. Apple can't help either only Vodafone can unlock my phone. Where do I turn to. Advisers continue to tell me to fill in the form which is then rejected. I'm being held to ransom and left to try and sort out myself. I feel like a flamin tennis ball being batted about. Vodafone you have had a lot of money from me for 2 years - PLEASE, PLEASE HELP me get my unlock code so I can move on peacefully. Someone is at fault and people are telling me lies. I bought my contract with you in good faith and have had s blissful 2 years UNTIL NOW!!!!!

There have been issues in the past with CPW's systems not interacting properly with Vodafone's and I wonder whether this is another example? If the IMEI wasn't set up properly in the first instance, Vodafone won't have it (apart from the fact that you're using it) and there's nothing they can do. The phone will work, so the first you'll know about it is when you request an unlock.
I suspect there's a way round this, so hang on for the forum team to pick up your post - if there is a way, they'll be able to deal with it. (Of course, CPW should have a way of notifying Vodafone, but then again...)

Hi M
Unfortunately this forum did not help at all. Not even a moderator who said he would investigate. However, I did get help from fellow unhappy Vodafone customers on the Facebook complaints page and after emailing the chief executive, my phone was unlocked in less than 24 hours. I was given a name to contact if I needed further assistance. It's just a shame this level of help was not given in the beginning. I have since closed my account , hassle free and moved onto another provider. Hope this is helpful. I emailed here first - I had to delete the address but you can google the CE's email address. Hope you get sorted. T.
