Hi michaels7070,
I'm afraid upgrading will not do any good, as our Pay-as-you-Go modems are not currently compatible with any Mac systems. This is stated on the Minimum System Requirements.
We are working on new software that will enable this to work, but for now the Top-up modems are PC only.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience

This is very interesting. I've been holding off buying a Pay-as-you-Go modem for some time due to the apparent lack of Mac support. It has now reached a time where picking one up is essential (I've just got an HTC Magic handset and tethering is "problematic"). I saw promises of Mac support to begin in March of this year but nothing materialised and it has reached the point where I've considered getting an O2 dongle instead.
If it works on a MacBook running leopard then I may well jump on board.

Well you have to download the software from the net rather than just insert the disk, and check that the settings are right, but there are plenty of sites that tell you what they should be. The only problem I have found with the MacBook Pro and Leopard is the actual Vodafone coverage. On trains between London and Nottingham, for example, it connects only when in Leicester station....
