Hi
As far as I understand things you will have had to acquire the handset from Vodafone. It's not just a case of the firmware.
" A Samsung Galaxy S6 or Samsung Galaxy S6 edge bought directly from Vodafone at one of our stores, online or by phone through our customer service team" from http://www.vodafone.co.uk/explore/network/network-improvements/wi-fi-calling/index.htm
Current Phone >
Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512gb.

Handset is a handset. The firmware differentiates it from other networks.
It will work perfectly the same - just need to understand how to remove the fact that it's defaculting the the CSC SIM

The bottom line is that only Handsets supplied by Vodafone UK will work with Vodafone UK's version of WiFi Calling.

Hi All,
Bought a Vodafone branded Sm-920F (Samsung S6) from Tesco Direct and would like to use Vodafone offical firmware.
The handset was originally loaded with the BTU European Firmware so did not have any Vodafone branding.
I realise I need to load the latest Vodafone Firmware so grabbed it from Sammobile and am now running G920FXXU3QOKN.
The trouble is, even though it's the same firmware, the CSC Code has defauted to SIM which is a Si.mobil vodafone subidery. There seems to be no way to get the device to default to the required VOD CSC and therefore run the offical vodaofne firmware, even though the device was purchased indirectly from vodafone.
Anybody know what i'm talkiing about? Device is un-rooted and will need to stay that way.

I will shortly merge this thread, with your existing one.
I understand perfectly well what you are talking about and the bottom line doesn't change. You don't have a Vodafone UK branded handset, so it won't work.

There is no way if buying a handset from Vodafone indirectly. Dealers and virtual networks like Tesco source their own handsets and do not buy them from the networks.
The only way to get a Vodafone handset is to take out a contract with Vodafone.

Just because you flashed the VOD firmware it doesn't mean the CSC will change too.
Normally you have to use a CSC changer app to apply the CSC code to your Phone.
It's a long time since I flashed any Samsung Roms so it might be a different process now? I used to be able to use a 3 file flash, then it changed to single file flashing (using Odin)
Your best bet is to look through xda-developers website where they specialise in this type of help.:smileywink:

TSD - doesn't the device need to be rooted though?
