When I install vodafone connect from the dongle all works fine

When I reboot laptop it then hangs during boot with just the wallpaper on the screen

I have to use system restore to put laptop state back to before the install

I have tried several times and always get the same result

The laptop runs windows XP sp3

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Rotty66,

This is very strange, can i ask if you a booting the laptop up with he Modem plugged in? does this still happen if you don't have the modem plugged in?

What version of VMC ( Vodafone Mobile Connect) are you running?

I would try the latest software which can be downloaded from our business site.

Give this a go and let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the reply

I instaled the latest software

at the moment it will not connect

it says RAS Error code 619

I tried the things it suggests but no luck

Just tested the reboot and it still wouldn't boot with the new version ( dongle not plugged in )

May not be worth looking at the RAS error and just returning to the built in version and trying to sort the boot problem out

Hi rotty66

Thanks for your post here. I would try that too, but it does look to be some problem with how your machine is working with the software.

This boot issue is a problem with your PC so I'm going to leave this one to our other eForum members to lend their suggestions to you
