Hi.

Bought iphone 6s from Mobiles.co.uk 12 months ago. Need to use is abroad with local sim card. Filled several times online form to get nuc code, every time got answer "your imei does not match our database records ". Contacted vodafone support they send me to Carphonewarehouse, went there they could not help me as phone now locked to vodafone. Later contacted Vodafone again, they advised me to email to nuc.resolution....vodafone.co.uk. Emailed there got answer this email address does not exist.

Could anyone please advise me  what is the best solution would be for me now?

Hi.

Car phone warehouse wouldn't be able to help as they have no access to unlocking phones.

Ultimately it's Apple that unlock iPhone's but not by a code to be inputted but by hooking up to iTunes with another networks sim card in when advised to do so by the network. It can take Apple approx 20 days to do this after receiving authorisation by the network.

Apple wouldn't engage with you over a network locked phone either.

I assume you've been using the iPhone on the Vodafone network to make calls and send texts and use data. It has to be x3 paid on time bills on pay monthly and On payg it has to have been used for 30 days.

If you fill out too many online unlocking requests with Vodafone then they may trigger a fraud marker so be careful.

Customer services on 191 or Live Chat can assist and guide you with the unlocking.

Has the iPhone ever been replaced by an insurance company or Apple as this would mean it's imei number wouldn't be on Vodafones database.

Hi. Thank you for your reply. I've had pay monthly contract  for 12 month now so it's 11 bills i think we're paid. Phone was replaced  three monthsago by Apple. I started to fill the form to get NUC when I had the old phone but  always got the same answer  from vodafone  "your phone imei  not in our database".  It's going in circles now,  i contact customer services they tell me to fill online form, after that got email "your phone imei not in our database", then  i contact customer services and they tell me again to fill online form ...

@zoreana I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch so that we can help further.

I am having the same problem as this post - i have an old iphone4, bought around 2010/2011 and i have been trying to have it unlocked for the past month.

I filled in a form a few weeks ago > waited 10 days > no reply > called up vodafone many times > no record of unlocking code > got given email address nucresolutions(at)help.vodafone.co.uk > got a reply saying my IMEI number is not recgonised and said it could be wrong and to check by entering *#06# on phone however it is correct. What do I do next if my IMEI is correct but vodafone are saying there is no record for it? I am going round in circles and I am now living abroad and need this phone unlocked ASAP.

Thank you.

@zoreana So we can check on its progress for you, please confirm the reference number you received in the automated email response (this will be similar to #12345678).

@swsw1 We'd like to help get this resolved. So we can help, I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch with our team directly.

Hello,

Can someone please help me I’m sending this email trying to get the status of my phone getting unlocked, as its been weeks since I first requested it and no one at Vodafone can help me out!

On the 20th February I requested via the online link to get the phone unlocked - I received the email response below telling me to look out for an email with instructions - but no ref number on the response?

Yesterday on the 12th of March I contacted customer services at Vodafone as I still hadn’t received any communication back on the unlocking status.

They called the tech team & i was them told, that it hadn’t been done yet and they didn’t know why and was told that they would look into ASAP (as the original request was on the 20th February).

I was told I would receive an email shortly, so I checked again today and as no email was received I called again today and the customer service person called tech again and was told there was a back log and he couldn’t help me as he couldn’t get on the system to check the status based on my 20th February request and gave me this email address nucresolutions(at)help.vodafone.co.uk and asked me to get in contact and ask what is happening?

I just recieved an automated response  with this code [#18257421]. Im worried that the original request on 20th Feb has gotten lost in the system.

I’m planning to go on holiday on 23rd of March and though that 2 months would be enought time to get it sorted out.

Can you please help out?

thanks

cole.

@cole99 It usually takes up to 10 working days to unlock your device, so I do apologise that it's still locked to our network.

As we'll need to access your account to look into this further, please contact us using the link in my private message
