iMessage issue

Hi, so ive recently joined vodafone and I tried setting up iMessage on my Iphone 6 but it wont let me. Ive tried every solution from reseting the network to software update. Does anybody have any new ideas or experienced the same problem. Its driving me crazy. Its been 3 days and still nothing. Ive been able to send iMessages from the email even though it was never activated but it wont take my phone number and to be honest I dont want everyone having my iCloud email. All the help would be great. Oh by the way facetime wont work either.

Is your mobile number showing in Settings-Phone-My Number.

If not then type it in there using +44 and save. 

Check

Settings-Messages-Send and Recieve-Check that a tick is next to your mobile number and email address in 'You can be reached at'

And a tick is next to your number in 'Start a new Conversation from'
