This may have happened if youโd only just got the Vodafone SIM. Have you tried this again since?
Please take a look at the iMessage and Facetime support pages on Appleโs website and try their suggestions.

If everything else on the phone is working it is highly unlikely that there is a fault with the phone so do not send it to Vodafone for repair.
Your first step if possible is to try another sim card or go to an Apple store where they can run a diagnoistic test on your phone and check everything is OK. You can call into a Vodafone store and ask them tro try a new sim for you.
