iPad sim card in laptop

Hi all,

After selling off my business iPad, which was rarely used, I'm left with my iPad micro Sim card. As I'm still paying for the contract for the next year I intend to use it in my laptop, a Dell Latitude E6410 with Dell 5530 mobile broadband card running Windows 7 x64. Havbing installed the Vodafone mobile broadband software, when opening the 3G connection it fails, sometimes with error 635 and sometimes with 718.

Any advice on resolving this would be appreciated. I have replaced the modem card in case it was faulty to no effect.

Cheers,

Graham

Also, to confirm the APN settings I'm currently using

APN: internet

UN: web

Hi gbates1989,

To be honest you should be able to use the onboard connection manager to connect the SIM without using VMB.

However, I would also try to disable the onboard connection manager for the broadband card slot and just use the VMB software as these can sometimes cause a bit of confliction and cause the connection to drop.

Also, the APN settings you have are correct for a contract mobile broadband account.
