I phoned 191 earlier today, and was told the sim would be active within 2 hours at 3pm today, i am still getting No Service when i try to use the Cellular Data, i can connect to my Wireless router though not my vodafone Broadband, i know it's not the signal strength as i also have an iPhone 3GS which has a great Signal strength.

What is taking this so long?

I was told by vodafone the sim would be activated when i receive it, i've my ipad 2 since tuesday and can't use my VF BB

Please help..

Hi AmazonianAngel,

Silly question but have you tried switching the iPad off for a few minutes then switching it back on?

If the device is still not activated after 3pm post back and one of the eForum team can take a look into it for you.

One thing worth noting for future, SIMs are not preactivated if they are sent out, this is a security measure put in place in case your SIM goes missing in the post, this way noone can use it.

Hello AmazonianAngel,

Thanks for your post.

Further to Nabs' advice, it can take up to 24 hours for a SIM to become active on the network. It's usually much less than that and 24 hours is a worst case scenario.

If you're not yet active we can take a look so I've sent you a PM which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.

Cheers,

LeeH
