Hi, I have upgraded from an iphone 4s to a 5s with a new SIM but same number, now I do not get a signal at home as it does not talk tot he sure signal even though the other 2 phones in the house are still ok.

I have reset the sure signal a couple of times to no avail

I read about some other sort of reset that needs to happen due to the new SIM and I am not sure if this is at Vodafone's end

If this is the case can anyone please assist please

Dave

Hi

Its recommended to de register your number for a period of 24 hours after a sim swap and then re register.

Current Phone  >

Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512gb Phantom Black.

De-regisered it and now its re-registered and still the phone has no signal.

Did a live chat with Vodafone and they did the same thing from their end with no solution.

Its my wife's phone, mine is ok

Anything else I can do?

Try turning off 4G in the phones settings to force it onto 3G.

Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?

Switching to 3G made no difference unfortunately

The sure signal itself is healthy, my phone and my daughters phone work fine but its my wifes phone shows no signal

I have just removed my wifes phone from the sure signal list, reset everything then put her number back in and still no joy

Spoken to Vodafone tech now and they have updated the firmware. This has done nothing either.

Any more solutions?

The only thing left to try is to put your phone into a phone that you know works, to rule out the SIM/handset being the issue.

If you’re unable to do this, I’d suggest popping into your nearest Vodafone store and get a new SIM card.

Problem now solved. Contacted support and they first did a firmware upgrade which did not work but then they guy said he could see an issue at Vodafone's end which said he fixed and lo and behold......full signal!!

cheers guys
