Hi

Pop in your Vodafone SIM card which should be an active one and the phone should accept it if it's either locked to Vodafone or unlocked to all networks.

If your sim isn't activated then live chat or customer service or a Vodafone shop can activate it.

Alternatibely pop pop in the SIM card and hook up to iTunes.

Apple help link.

If you can‘t activate your iPhone

Current Phone  >

Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512gb.

That depends on whether the phone is locked or not.

If you have a Vodafone account any of the stores will give you the correct size sim and also transfer your account details onto it. When you put the sim in the phone you just follow the on-screen prompts, if you do not already have an Apple ID you will be prompted to create one during the set-up process. If you do have one during the set-up process you will be offered the chance to set the phone up as new or use an existing back-up from iTunes  if you have one.

If the phone is unlocked the procedure is the same except that you can use any network sim to activate the phone.

A word of caution; if the phone was bought from a high street reseller such as CPW the phone will lock to the network of the first sim you install.
