I have four iPhones on my account (one for each of us in the family). They were all iP4 and everything worked fine except that iP4 is not particularly good as a telephone and did not have the power to support the latest iOS and apps. So we all upgraded to iP6. I went into the Vodafone shop and they switched the sims for us (iP6 uses Nano-sims and iP4 does not).
So far so good but we ran straight into a really strange problem. For some incoming calls, to any one of us, it very often goes to the wrong phone or to several phones of our phones, at once. This has happened several times and is so bizarre, I am not sure how to even search for it.
I checked the call forwarding on the phones (off) and on the Vodafone website (also off). So what is going on? Anyone have any ideas?

Interesting. They're all on the same iCloud account but that did not seem to be a problem when we had iP4s all on the same iCloud accounts. So if that is the problem then it's a new one, something to do with the new iOS or the phones themselves.
So far it's only happened when we are at home. Someone suggested it's something to do with the WiFi; apparently this problem can arise when the router assigns the same IP address to different phones (how? why?) but I checked, they are different.

i have my iphone 5s and ipad air on the same icloud account if i am at home on wifi, my ipad air will ring before my mobile phone does, as already stated i suggest you have separate icloud accounts for each device

What you need to do is to go into the message settings -> send & recieve addresses and ensure that people are only sending and recieving using their own phone numbers
