iPhone 6 plus - "Could not activate cellular data network"

Hello,

For the past 4-5 days, I have no internet on my phone. Everytime I am trying to use safari, mails, or another app that requires internet access, I keep getting the same message "Could not activate cellular data network".

I talked with someone from Vodafone and reassured me that there is no problem with my account and that it is a known problem of the latest iOS 8.1.1. However, I did not find anywhere any advice on how to solve it.
As the Vodafone person that helped me instructed me, I tried turning cellular data on and off, restarting the phone, resetting the network settings, backup the phone and restore it. Unfortunately, NOTHING has worked.

My Wifi works perfectly and I don't have any problems when I use internet over Wifi. I can also make/receive calls perfectly fine, as well as text messages.

In contrast with other similar problems, I haven't changed to Vodafone from another network or anything and I have my phone for 2 months and it was working perfectly fine until now.

The Cellular Data Settings currently on my phone are the following:

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Harry

Hi. If it's worked previously but isn't now then it could potentially be a network problem.

For the record I'm also using a 6 Plus and our settings are identical.

If you take a look at Simon's post, here, it does advise on some troubleshooting and next steps on network problems. It's important to go through the diagnostics first as it'll help Vodafone understand if it's 1) network, 2) a SIM issue, 3) hardware

I have exactly the same problem. Do you know how this was resolved in the end?

On the iPhone hold down the Sleep/Wake Button and Home button together until the Apple Logo shows. Then On seeing this Apple Logo release both buttons ,and the iPhone will reset , which has been known to clear most glitches.

Another options :

Try again...... Settings -General -Reset -Reset Network Settings.

As process of elimination can U try ure Sim in another phone2 rule out either the Sim/Phone which may be at fault.

If you have a local  store have the phone looked at via a https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/ appointment.

Received a replacement SIM from Vodaphone shop.

Reset the whole handset right back to Apple boot up screen.

It's a 24 month contract.

I give up!

I will return the handset to the Vodaphone shop today... EE where are you?

Hi, it has already been escalated to (Removed by moderator) by the Vodafone shop see Ref: 133708

CUSTOMER CANNOT USE THE INTERNET ON HIS PHONE, HE HAS TRIED EVERYTHING SIM CHANGE RESET THE PHONE HAS GONE THROUGH ALL THE SETTING BUT STILL DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ABLE TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET

Incidentally we swapped SIM cards in the shop and the shop assistants card worked in my phone but my SIM card did not work in hers. So it is looking like something is not set up correctly on the account. It worked fine for the first month but stopped working when I went in to month 2 of the contract.

I called up to cancel the contract today but was told it would cost £900 so I am stuck waiting for it to be fixed. I will give it the statutory 8 weeks then go to the ombudsman for a full refund with damages. I have very little confidence that it will be fixed and there is no SLAM on the fix.

All in all zero points Vodafone I would not recommend this network to a friend.

Hi please could someone at Vodaphone follow up on support ref 133708 above as it has now been 2 weeks without mobile data on my iPhone 6. See above.
