I have had an iPhpne 5C for about 22 months with no problems up until the last couple of weeks with the battery life span. I have been charging my phone fully each evening before I go to bed and then in the morning the charge is already down to around 80% when not in use at all. Up until a couple of weeks ago I was not having a problem with this and the phone would still be on 100% bateery in the morning and would last through the whole day with moderate usage.
Is this an issue with the battery or should I check something else here? Am I covered through Vodafone on my two year contract also?

Hi
Are you on iOS 9 - I ask as their is a new battery feature that tells you what is using the battery.
Try a reset by holding the power button and home button until the logo appears and let go.
If if that does not help then try restoring the iPhone via iTunes after making a back up to iTunes or iCloud.
If no help then if you have a local store make an appointment via https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/
give a 12 month warranty.
If you don't have a local store then speak to via their online chat / support line and they can arrange a postal option.

@sunil_1965 To answer your question about warranty, you are only covered for 12 months for an iPhone.
If you visit an Apple Store they will be able to run some diagnostics on your phone send tell you if the fault is with your battery.

Hi Sunil,
Another helpful little tip is to go into Settings > General > Background App Refresh. Turn this off as this will drain your battery even when you aren't using it.
This has helped a lot of my friends phones as well, hope this helps with your issue.
