lolipop update fix galaxy s5

What specific issues are vodafone having releasing the lolipop update fix. My phone has been very buggy since the update provided in January. I can't afford to factory reset as I have encrypted code generator app on my phone which I am required to have for work. It's getting very annoying that I'm having to use a disfunctional phone at the moment especially as I am on a hefty price plan. It doesn't give me much confidence in vodafone that it is taking an exceptional amount of time for the issue to be resolved. With my contact ending next month not sure if vodafone is the right path to take again.

Is it possible to downgrade to kit kat as my phone worked perfectly then?

Ah

It looks like the S5 isn't confirmed getting the V5.1

THIS ^^^^

My S5 has gotten even worse in recent days. Descends into something slower than watching a tortoise move at times now. How can Vodafone just sit by, and let S5 owners live with such dire firmware?

Seriously considering buying a SIM free phone next time, and may only stick with Vodafone for coverage on a SIM only deal.

Where's good old Watchdog when you need them? :smileywink:

That's exactly why they've posted it.

Tech team?

*belly laughs*

i actually love the fact that on my forum the advert is to trade in my old phone for samsung s6 !!

Dear vodafone ..

Please sort out this issue your phone firmware support is terrible (this is not the first time , same thing happened with HTC firmware) you are actually forcing customers to leaqve and go elswhere to get contracts.

However i know for a fact customer loyalty doesnt exist with any mobile company anymore , as there isnt a lot of money to be made from long standing customers ... more profit is in new customers.

So do us a favour ... sort your firmware dept out ... lets have some customer care on this one .. please dont keep fobbing us off with .. "read this statement" or "try factory reset" .... you sell the phone ... support the updates please ... you have provided us as the user with an inferior and not funtioning piece of firmware .. it is your duty to sort this for us as a customer ... as it is ours to pay our money every month.

I have been with Vodafone for over 15 years now so .. maybe my loyalty means its time for me to move on to another mobile supplier .. shame on you vodafone !

@Chazz D.

I sincerely thank you for actually acknowledging our frustration, you are the first tech team member to do so.

Could you please escalate this issue through your channels as the firmware status is no use at all and I noticed this morning that even BT has rolled out 2 updates yesterday.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know why you guys are still seeing out your contracts.

This post will probably get removed but stating the law (see my other posts) not only did I get out of the contract, but I also got to keep the phone.

I can`t find the actual post could you let me know what you did?

Thanks

I never said it was caused by the networks, where did I say that? I said they slow the process down by insisting on being involved.

Vodafone have added to the problem, whether you like it or not.
