lolipop update fix galaxy s5

What specific issues are vodafone having releasing the lolipop update fix. My phone has been very buggy since the update provided in January. I can't afford to factory reset as I have encrypted code generator app on my phone which I am required to have for work. It's getting very annoying that I'm having to use a disfunctional phone at the moment especially as I am on a hefty price plan. It doesn't give me much confidence in vodafone that it is taking an exceptional amount of time for the issue to be resolved. With my contact ending next month not sure if vodafone is the right path to take again.

Is it possible to downgrade to kit kat as my phone worked perfectly then?

You've kindly given advice and posted your opinion, but it offered no resolution to the issue that prompted me to start this thread in the first place. So, for the love of God, will you please stop responding to my posts?

Is THAT suitably in line with forum etiquette?

Whilst I appreciate and agree with the right to free speech, if your phone is one of the lucky ones that happen to work, then partaking and commenting in a thread about those whose phones don't work properly could come across as gloating a bit to those of us whose phones haven't worked properly in months.

I'm not accusing anyone of doing so, but this isn't really the right thread to populate if you're in that fortunate minority.

This thread should be about bringing pressure to bear on Vodafone for dragging their heels and effectively casting S5 owners adrift with faulty firmware.

I've tried all the suggestions, factory reset and ran it on the bare bones with nothing but the apps it came with. messaging STILL crashed and continues to crash daily, forcing me to reboot the handset to view and send messages, regardless of what apps I have installed. I think I'm may just swerve Vodafone and indeed Samsung phones too at the next juncture, this has been an experience I want to forget.

@Ben:

None of those suggestions work for me unfortunately. Also, nobody's been "attacked". It is our right to criticise someone and question their motive, it's called 'freedom of speech'. Therefore, although my own wording could have been a tad more diplomatic, nobody has been 'attacked' on here, least of all members of your tech team, so can you please stop the chest beating as it only adds to the frustration on here.

I have to say that if every member of your tech team followed your lead, there would be less criticism. Your post, although it doesn't help resolve my issue, explains perfectly the need for regular postings of the firmware FAQs on such a busy thread.

Clear communication, and a swift update, that's all we ask for.

Fair comment, vf would soon roll an update out if they were having to compensate customers

Personally I'd rather do it OTA, not doubting anyone's integrity here, it's just my personal preference.
