i am having trouble getting data

 

i have recently changed mobile companies after moving my phone to vodafone i cannot get any data on my phone

 

i am having to wait at leat 3 days to see if the problem can be sorted out

 

i hope someone can help me out before i take it any further

A couple of things you can try:

 

  • Text WEB to 40127 - this will send a message and allow you to save the internet settings on your phone
  • Power the phone off then restart

 

Failing that:

 

  • Are you able to make / receive calls?
  • What signal strength is showing at the top of your phone? (e.g. GPRS, 3G)
  • If you go to Settings > Mobile - is mobile data turned on? (the switch should be green)

Also try turning your airplane mode on and off and or Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.

i can get messages i just dont have any data connection i have been intouch with vodafone they say it will take upto 3 days to sort out

 

if it does not get sorted what can i do

It can take that time sometimes to settle.

If it does not then you'll need to revert back to the department you spoke to previously.
