network unlocking code

I have been an active PAYG customer for a couple of years. I have changed to a contract with another provider ( plusnet). I've received my PAC code. I put the new sim in and now need an unlocking code. I asked for it yesterday. I haven't even received an acknowledgement, let alone the code. I am now paying for a contract that I cannot use and my phone is barred for all other use. Yes, I used the online form and yes, I gave the imei number and yes, I've had the phone from new.

What now?

Please check your email spam in boxes for any replies from Vodafone in there. 

The reply to confirm receipt is usually pretty fast by Vodafone and can you please check your email sent ok. 

Once vodafone reply then the Unlocking Code normally follows in a few days but can take up to 10 days if they need to contact the manufacturer. 

In the case of an iPhone then as a code isn’t required to unlock the iPhone but instead Vodafone ask Apple to release the phone from their database this can very occasionally take up to 30 days. Periodically inserting an active alternative networks SIM card in the iPhone until you see the unlocked type message. An iPhone 4s or lower would typically need to be hooked up to iTunes. 

If you don’t get a reply from Vodafone by Monday then I’d suggest to fill out one more online unlocking request. Please check your original sent ok. Do not fill out too many as this could trip Vodafone systems to thinking some type of fraud is happening.

Thankyou for the  reply. The problem seemed to have been delays. I received the code yesterday. Shortly after that I received confirmation of my original email (4 days after sending it). Today I have received notification that you have replied. It hasn't left a sparkling picture of vodafone but at least everything is now functioning.

There's a certian criteria you'll need before we're able to unlock this device for you and if you've bought the phone via a third party, this may not be possible.
