nexus 6 shutting down randomly every day

Hi I need help! My nexus 6 keeps shutting down its completely random I could be having a phone call and it will go dead or browsing a webpage. I can't find any trigger for it. I've tried a factory reset and had no joy. I've disabled ambient display and cloud printing and that never helped. I think the phone needs sending back any ideas anyone? What's the process if I need it repaired/replaced I don't want to be left without a phone especially when Im paying a contract. Thanks in advance for any advice.

That sounds like a battery issue.   What does the charge state show, and how long does the charge normally last?  Note that allowing the battery to go flat will shorten its life considerably.  It does look as though it's going to have to go for repair, though.
