It does take 12+ hours for a new card to go live.
Have you tried turning the phone on and off again as they dont tend to fire up whilst the phone is on (although it does happen)
I would go into a store personally if yoh still have nothing and get another sim card.

I'm in a similar situation, phone delivered 25/4, details here. There's another similar one here. Mine's not an issue with the phone, it's a problem with the account set-up process. As far as I know there's no dedicated team to resolve these issues, they're being raised by customer services and routed to the various technical teams to resolve. I'm waiting for mine to do the rounds and hopefully start working. That being said, if you find a number to call that can resolve it, please share it! I'm using mine as a paper weight / alarm clock at the moment.

Also found this post here, copied the interesting bit below:
"...they kept telling me they would would have it working in 48hrs but 48hrs is actually not two days it's actually 6 working days as they work it out as they work 8hr shift = 6 days the customer relations guy made me aware of this I've not known any company use this style time scales..."
I've not come across this interpretation before, I've been taking 24/48 hours to be 1/2 days from the moment of contact.
Full post is with ongoing issues with number porting, which is filling me with dread :smileysad:.

I waited half an hour for my sim to activate before i got impatient, got on to live chat and someone kindly deactivated my old sim, and activated my new one there and then so it can be done over live chat!
