text messages

I have an i phone 4s.   When I text to my daughters - when they receive text it gives my e mail address and full name instead of "Mum  and the mobile number."  WHY

Because you aren't sending and they aren't receiving a text message. They are iMessages and in the setup on your phone you can choose whether or not your phone number as well as email addresses can access iMessage. Go to settings - messages - send and receive

Make sure your number is ticked.
