Not stupid there's a whole other bit somewhere on forum with lots other suggestions. . I read on line to enable motions and gestures and can cover screen with hand or turn over.. mute meant to come back when 5.1 update is done.. at some point... I haven't checked the motion thing yet... others suggested turn volume right down and vibrate right down.. = mute... but agree very awkward... Thanks. . Oh partner says volume switch as all controls. . But is awkward..
